I’m excited to share the photos from the Sarah and Reid’s wedding. Sarah was kind enough to share her story about the day. Enjoy!
“The wedding day started off without a hitch! Met my girls at the salon and we all got our hair and makeup done. I learned that one of the groomsmen did not get the memo to be at the church at noon but would be there by one. It was out of my control so I let it go. We arrived at the church and snuck into the girls’ changing room, trying to avoid all the boys. I helped my girls get ready and then they helped me slip into my wedding dress. I’m glad my girls knew how to lace up my dress, because mom was a little stressed about it. Even though the pictures went really quick, my jaw still hurt from smiling the whole time. Everyone looked awesome! We all gathered back inside our room after taking pictures outside.
All of a sudden, it was time. Everyone but me left the room to line up. That was when my nerves hit. My dad thankfully walked in not too long after. He was crying although he told me he just had something in his eye. I gave him a big hug and we walked out to line up. I got to see the ring bearers start their walk down the aisle, they were adorable! The music changed and then it was my turn. As my dad is walking me down the aisle I enjoyed seeing all our family and friends. And waiting for me was my handsome husband-to-be watching me. We locked eyes and I couldn’t wait to get up there, all my nerves went away. My dad gave me away (he managed not to mess up his line, like he said he would). The ceremony went by so fast. We laughed and cried. Other than burning my finger on the unity candle and having trouble putting on Reid’s ring, the ceremony was perfect. Following the ceremony and signing of the marriage certificate, we took a lot of family photos and headed to the Embassy Suites. The reception hall was more beautiful than I could have imagined. My “fairy god mother” Suz Colbeths out-did herself. She took my vision and made it a reality! The food, cake, and music was awesome; we danced all night long. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding, with better people, or a better husband. The day went by so fast, I was glad to have my friend Jessica capture it for us. Thank you to everyone who helped make our wedding exactly what we wanted.” ~ Sarah Johnson
